Our Vision
Our founder, Stephen E. Benjamin, began Stephen Benjamin Insurance in 1939. Benjamin’s daughter, Betty and and her husband, Robert ran the business out of their home, until they moved it to it's current location in 1978. Their son, Stephen and his wife Joy championed the agency into its third generation of service-minded operations.
Our agency has achieved long-lasting success over the years because of our dedication to exceptional service. We survived the after effects of the great depression. In spite of this adversity, we’ve adapted — and will continue to adapt — in order to best serve you. Stephen Benjamin Insurance listens to our clients’ concerns, answers all questions, and provides sound advice and appropriate, top-rated insurance products that span the test of time.
SBIA is now in the hands of a fourth generation, Steve’s daughter, Lauren LeClaire. And, after 85 years, we are still providing Central Massachusetts and the Blackstone Valley with the very best property and casualty insurance.
